The second generation of the Kodiaq comes with a more distinctive design and even more space, especially for passengers in the third seat row. It is marked by a new interior concept featuring a touchscreen display measuring 13 inches, a gearshift lever on the steering column, manual and digital controls and a tidy, well-organised centre console.
Push-buttons with digital displays allow quick access to numerous vehicle functions. The two outer Smart Dials for the driver and front passenger control the interior temperature, seat heating, and seat ventilation, displaying the currently active function. The centre Smart Dial controls up to four different functions, such as the infotainment volume, fan speed, air direction, smart air conditioning, driving modes, and map zoom.
The engine roster includes two petrol and two diesel engines ranging from 150PS to 204PS as well as a plug-in hybrid version – a first for the Kodiaq. This offers an electric range of up to 62 miles.
Two versions come with all-wheel drive, and all-new Kodiaq models are equipped with DSG automatic transmission as standard. The 1.5 TSI with mild-hybrid technology also comes with latest-generation active cylinder technology (ACT+).
The safety equipment is boasting second-generation full LED Matrix headlights and advanced assistance systems, such as Emergency Assist and Traffic Jam Assist. Remote Park Assist allows the SUV to be manoeuvred into tight parking spaces from outside the vehicle using a smartphone app.
Simply Clever features: a fresh storage compartment with a cup holder in the rear, wireless charging providing cooling and charging for two mobile phones and ergo seats with a pneumatic massage function.
You can opt for the interior Design Selections - Loft, Lounge, or ecoSuite in Black or Cognac, with textiles crafted from 100% recycled polyester. The leather in the ecoSuite benefits from an eco-friendly tanning process using coffee bean processing residues.
