While many of our customers know a lot about motability, sometimes there are still areas of the car leasing process that can be a bit confusing or unclear. To ensure that your whole motoring experience is worry-free we have listed some of your most frequently asked qustions
I've moved house, how do I update my details?
A : You can update your details by visiting the customer zone of the motability website at www.motability.co.uk. If you do not have internet access you can call customer services on 08454564566.
I'm coming to the end of my contract how do I go about ordering my next motability car?
A: At Allams we aim to make the handover between your old car and new car as easy as possible.
You need to contact us three months before the end of your existing agreement, to see what cars may be suitable and test drive some vehicles.
At around this time Motability will also send you a copy of the current price guide.
Can I buy my motability car at the end of the lease?
A: This may be possible. Motability can give you a quote from 14 weeks before you are due to hand back your car, and they must recieve payment at least seven days before this date. You need to contact Motability Customer Services.
What is a good condition Bonus?
A: This is awarded to customers who return their car in a good condition at the end of the contract and have not had any insurance claims made on or against their policy.
If you meet certain criteria you will recieve the cheque 14 days after you have returned the vehicle. Please also be aware this bonus, is not awared by Allam's, and therfore Alllams can not be held responsible.
My husband has Fully Comprehensive Insurance cover. Can he drive my Motability car on His Insurance?
A: No. Only people named as permitted drivers on your certificate of motor insurance are covered to drive your motability car, even if they have fully comprehensive insurance for another car.
You can on order nominate up to two drivers to use your car, you can pay a little extra to add a third.
I haven't got a spare tyre
A: An increasing number of new cars no longer come with spare wheels, this means the car is lighter has lower CO2 emissions and provides a saving on fuel costs. On Allam's no Skoda's we provide you with a tyre inflation kit. You will then need to drive to the nearest Kwik fit centre.
